Hello, my name is Maia Bandera and a recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Communication Arts with a focus in film, television, and radio.

I have always been fascinated with film and the ways that stories can be told through a visual medium. Although I was raised on classical Hollywood films and mass media, I have found myself impassioned by unconventional films and documentaries, finding a magnetic pull towards (inter)personal understanding and exploring the human experience to better understand others and ourselves.

Throughout my college experience, I have both worked hands-on with media production and post-production editing, as well as explored the dynamics of media consumption and creation rhetoric. My experience and goals in media production leave me curious and hungry for more with hopes to carve a path of both personal and societal discovery through film and visual media.
